A week in Ibiza is too short, I now know for sure!

Ibiza was way up my to visit-list. We just never seemed to actually get there, until this year. Finally another thing I could check off my travel bucket list. And boy, did I fall in love with Ibiza! Thanks to the bloggers at Woonblog and Wolf & Wolkje I got the address of Mira, the charming and sweet owner of the beautiful guesthouse where we stayed.

And it was actually the pictures of the guesthouse she sent us that won me over. Call me an interior design snob, but I always love to stay somewhere cosy and pretty when on holiday. And this sight of the house had won me over in an instant! The interior of the guesthouse has a modern Scandinavian design with that typical Ibiza-vibe. And it is located perfectly: quiet but nearby Ibiza-town.

The house itself has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a beautiful terrace that overlooks the swimming pool. What's great is that the owners live next to the guesthouse, so it makes it easier to ask them something. In the house there were a lot of books and tips you could use to make your stay in Ibiza even more comfortable. We even checked out one of the restaurants the owners recommended us.

Ibiza itself is not a huge island. The best way to discover the pretty gems and the hidden beaches and hot spots is by car. We rented a small red Mini Booster which took us everywhere, although we didn't find the time to explore the north of the island. Because we traveled with our two boys, we did everything more slow. You know, like me stepping in on the trend of slow blogging, haha! And when we had enough of sightseeing and playing at the beach, we hung around the swimming pool - which was perfect for our water loving boy Jules!

But it was such a pretty house to stay in, it really made half of our vacation perfect! The other half was actually Ibiza we have to thank, because it is such a beautiful island to discover... And there were so many pretty places and beaches to see:

  • Nature park Les Salines and the sandy beach
  • Es Vedra
  • Cala d'Hort
  • Cala Llonga
  • Cala Bassa
  • Cala Conta
  • Santa Gertrudis

If you're a bit like me, you'll definitely want to stay where we stayed! I highly recommend this place, so let me know if you need Mira's address, I'll be happy to give it to you.

Of course I cannot put every tip and picture in one blog post, but I'll definitely share my other tips, experiences and the cutest places in a next blog post. So stay tuned! x
